the risotto plate I had was great. very worth it, I enjoyed that a lot. restaurant seemed to serve good food as our table enjoyed their main course. as a huge dessert person, I will say it was a 2/5. would skip, nothing special. menu sounds good but tasted like mediocre grocery store dessert. even the cookie baked day of wasn't good by dinner time.

Came here on a Friday for dinner! Decided to sit at the bar with my friend and enjoyed a meal with a couple drinks. Our waiter / bartender was super friendly with us as well as everyone seated around us. We started off splitting a crab dip, which was decent. Nothing special, but hard to make crab dip stand out in my opinion. I followed that up by ordering the short rib risotto for myself. Again, this was pretty good, but did not really stand out to me in any way. Nothing was wrong with my meal, but for the price I'd hesitate to come back too often.

It's a shame it's taken me so long to post a review for Green Pig as it's my favorite restaurant in my neighborhood and a staple for anytime we have friends or family in town we want to both wow and provide a multitude of options for. Green Pig has both indoor and outdoor seating and even has a pet friendly patio with the seasonal "yappy hour" that is a neighbor staple! For a date night dinner I love to sit at their "counter" seating to watch the action happening in the kitchen - a chefs table experience! The menu is always evolving based on what's fresh which makes it fun each time we come in. Portions sizes are 10/10 and there is something for everyone on the menu. My personal favorites: -Scallops- my most ordered dish! -cornbread & honey butter as a started -specials fried chicken & ribs (these can turn a bad day to a great one and are the definition of comfort food) -lobster ravioli (or any of their homemade pastas) I was blown away by the generous portions of fresh lobster outside of the ravioli as well as inside. -Pork Chop- a pork chop the size of your forearm complete with delicious sides. -the coleslaw; I don't know what they put in this stuff but it's addictive! -double chocolate cake (whenever they have it you must order it. It's large enough to share with multiple people)

I've driven by this place hundreds of times and finally stopped in. It is a great restaurant with filling and flavorful food. From the outside I always thought that this is a tiny place, however you go into the back and it completely opens up into a full area. Put it on your list for a break from the norm if you're in the Clarendon area!

We had an amazing dinner the Green Pig bistro tonight. First of all all the staff were amazing, friendly, and welcoming. We were greeted by our waiter, Blaire, who did a fantastic job summarizing the menu for us letting us know what the specials were and making recommendations along the way a really good waiter makes a more than just a meal. First of all let's talk about the menu so many choices. One item looks better than the next. The homestyle meatloaf with mushroom gravy is on the list for next time. Once I saw Cassoulet on the menu I was sold. The Cassoulet was just unbelievable with both pork shoulder, pork belly, and a stunning duck sausage. Everything else you would expect in a Cassoulet in a delicious rich broth. The The shrimp and pork belly grits with a rich Cajun gravy, that stood alone. I want a bowl of that did bread in next time. My first experience with Buffalo ribs. Just imagine little riblets with buffalo sauce like buffalo chicken wings. It also had a shaved cucumber, ribbon and blue cheese dressing. I think I'm done with chicken wings. I think I only want buffalo ribs. Thought that. And we had two appetizers, cornbread and deviled eggs. We wrapped it up with a bread, pudding, dessert that was phenomenal. Overall, this was an amazing service provided by Blaire was phenomenal. He was on his game, checking on us and all the proper intervals making sure we were satisfied happy with everything we had. It was a really great time and I'll be going back there again and again.

We had a great girl's brunch at Green Pig bistro. The patio was so nice, well shaded, and overlooked some of the local Arlington neighborhoods. The food was excellent - highly recommend the cinnamon rolls. Service was good - the servers checked on us regularly and were friendly.

Wish I had the option to give 4.5 stars but alas here we are. Our good friends Greg and Nehal gave us a gift card to try one of their favorite spots in Arlington and we decided to try their brunch. The interior design was very classy and they had a wide selection of drinks. We tried the cinnamon bun which was delicious. The shrimp and grits were also really good. The shrimp was very fresh and the sauce had some good flavor to it. Really close to a 5 star spot for me definitely recommend.
